How I got here:
I attended Finger Lakes Community College with the intention of being a Physical Education teacher and graduated with an A.S. in Physical Education, an A.A. in Athletic Training and a Coaching Certificate.
Initially I was interested in learning massage to work with athletes on sports teams, so I went to Finger Lakes School of Massage in Ithaca, NY. Once I was introduced to the world of alternative health, there was no turning back. I fell in love with bodywork of all kinds, not just the sports aspect. That was when I first felt the energy which surrounds us all, and have embraced that feeling ever since.
A few years later I moved to Vermont. The majority of my time was spent in the Stowe area, working as a massage therapist at a few resorts and enjoying the outdoors in the beautiful Green Mountains. I loved working in the spa industry! It certainly had it's ups and downs, but it provided me the opportunity to work with like-minded people from all over the country and the world! There were copious amounts of massage therapists constantly feeding off each other: learning, teaching, practicing. In addition to working as a massage therapist, I became a Wellness Committee member for a small corporation where we implemented weekly wellness tips, as well as organized and launched a wellness fair for employees. I returned to school to complement all my studies and interests up to that point and graduated with a B.S. in Health Sciences from Johnson State College in Johnson, VT.
After 8 years of living in Vermont, I returned to my hometown of Fairport, NY. My private practice is located at East Side Wellness Center, also in Fairport, and is comprised of Integrative Energy Healing/Reiki, Homeopathy, Women's Health/Midwifery, Chiropractic Care, Life Coaching, Mental Health Counseling, Art Therapy, Lactation Consulting, Birth Doula Services and Yoga.
When I'm not working, I am spending time with friends, family and my rescue dog, Simon. I enjoy live music, kayaking, reading, hiking, camping, biking, skiing/snowboarding, and cooking.
